Return Policy

LiningTheStyle — Returns & Exchanges Policy

Our promise

We want you to love your fit. If something’s not right, returns and exchanges are easy and flexible within the timelines below.

Return window

  • 45 days from delivery for a refund to original payment.

  • 60 days from delivery for store credit or exchange.

  • Holiday orders (Nov 1–Dec 31): window extends to Jan 31.

What’s eligible

  • New, unwashed, unaltered items in sellable condition.

  • Original tags and packaging preferred but not required for store-credit returns (we get it—sometimes tags come off).

  • Sets/bundles must be returned complete.

Free exchanges

  • Size/color exchanges are free on U.S. orders. We’ll cover the label on your first exchange for each item.

  • If the exchange item costs more, you’ll pay the difference; if it costs less, we’ll refund/credit the difference.

Quick refunds

  • Choose store credit during the return and get an instant credit once the carrier scans your package.

  • Refunds to original payment are issued after inspection (typically 3–5 business days after receipt).

How to start a return or exchange

  1. Visit our Returns Portal (link in footer) and enter your order number + email.

  2. Select Return for Refund, Return for Store Credit, or Exchange.

  3. Download your prepaid label (U.S. only) and drop the package within 14 days.

  4. Keep your drop-off receipt until your return is processed.

Condition guidelines

  • Light try-on is okay. Please avoid deodorant/makeup stains or fragrance.

  • We cannot accept items that are heavily worn, washed, altered, or with pet hair.

  • Please fold and protect garments; original polybag helps, but any clean bag is fine.

Shipping & fees

  • U.S. returns: First return per order is free when you choose store credit or exchange; returns to original payment incur a $6.95 return label fee deducted from the refund (waived if we made a mistake).

  • International returns: Customer pays return shipping; exchanges ship back out at our standard international rates.

  • Outbound shipping is non-refundable unless we shipped the wrong item or a defective product.

Defects & wrong items

  • Defective, misprinted, or incorrect items: Contact us within 30 days of delivery with photos. We’ll replace or refund and cover all shipping.

  • Manufacturing issues discovered later? We stand by our quality. Stitching/print defects reported within 180 days qualify for repair, replacement, or credit.

Final-sale items (not returnable)

  • Marked Final Sale, Last Chance, or Gift Cards.

  • Intimates, bodysuits, face coverings, and items noted as non-returnable for hygiene.

Gifts

  • Gift returns receive store credit at the product’s current selling price.

  • If you have a gift receipt or order number, we’ll credit the original value.

Price adjustments

  • One-time price adjustment within 7 days of purchase if the item goes on promo and is still in stock; excludes site-wide events and final sale.

Order issues & lost packages

  • If tracking shows delivered but you can’t find the package, reach out within 7 days so we can help file a carrier claim and make it right.

Abuse & fair use

We reserve the right to refuse returns that show excessive wear, repeated wardrobing, or patterns of abuse. This keeps the policy fair for everyone.
